About the Presenters:
Rosemaria V. Marketos, Special Agent, US Secret Service, Boston Field Office
Special Agent Marketos graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Masters in Criminal Justice and a Certificate in Behavioral Forensics. SA Marketos previously worked as a Senior Intelligence Analyst for Cyveillance, Inc., a computer crime company based in Arlington, VA. SA Marketos been employed as a Special Agent with the US Secret Service for over 5 years and began her career in the Washington Field Office of the United States Secret Service.
While assigned to the Washington Field Office, SA Marketos was assigned to the Metropolitan Area Fraud Task Force (MAFTF), where she was also the liaison to WDC & VA area Police Departments. SA Marketos investigated complex cases including but not limited, to credit card fraud, money laundering, HELOC fraud, and bank fraud. SA Marketos has been assigned to the Boston Field Office for approximately three years. While assigned to the Boston Field Office she continues to work interactively with Local, State, and Federal Law Enforcement in order to carry out tasks that encompass both the protective and investigative missions of the United States Secret Service. SA Marketos is assigned to a General Crimes squad in Boston where she concentrates on Fraud and Financial Crimes.
Joshua D. Catella, Special Agent, US Secret Service, Boston Field Office
Special Agent Catella graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Liberal Science with a concentration in Criminal Justice, from Champlain College, Burlington, VT. SA Catella previously worked as a sworn Law Enforcement Officer in the State of Vermont for over 9 years. During that time SA Catella was involved in numerous criminal investigations including, but not limited to, property and financial crimes. Additionally, SA Catella was assigned as an undercover investigator with the Vermont Drug Task Force for a period of 4 years, where he investigated narcotic crimes resulting in state and federal prosecution.
SA Catella has been employed as a Special Agent with the US Secret Service for over 4 years and is currently assigned to the Boston Field Office. SA Catella has investigated complex cases including but not limited to counterfeiting, credit card fraud, money laundering, and bank fraud. SA Catella completed the Electronic Crimes Special Agent Program (ECSAP) and is currently assigned to the New England Electronic Crimes Task Force where he works directly with Local, State, and Federal Law Enforcement as a Digital Media Forensic Specialist.
